How Many Days Should You Spend in Cabo?
How long to stay in Los Cabos and a sample luxury itinerary — from a long weekend to a full week — planned by a local Cabo concierge.
Most Cabo trips run four to seven nights. The right length depends on why you're coming and how much you want to do. Here's how we think about it.
A long weekend (3–4 nights)
Enough for the essentials: a yacht day to Land's End, a private chef dinner, one great night out, and time by the pool. This is the sweet spot for a bachelor or bachelorette weekend or a quick couple's escape — intense, memorable, no wasted days.
Five nights — the ideal
For most travelers, five nights is the balance. You get two "big" days (yacht, golf, or a helicopter tour), a couple of slow villa days, and enough dinners to actually experience Cabo's dining scene without rushing.
A full week (7 nights)
Right for families, larger groups, and anyone who wants to truly unwind. A week lets you add in-villa spa mornings, a day trip, a second water day, and downtime that a shorter trip never allows. In a staffed villa, a week feels like a private resort.
A sample five-night itinerary
- Day 1 — Arrival, private transfer, settle in, chef dinner at the villa.
- Day 2 — Private yacht to Land's End; sunset drinks in town.
- Day 3 — Slow morning, in-villa spa, dinner at a hard-to-book restaurant.
- Day 4 — Golf or a desert/ATV adventure; beach club afternoon.
- Day 5 — Pool day, farewell dinner, pack.
Don't over-schedule
The most common mistake is booking too much. Cabo is a place to enjoy, not conquer. We build in the right amount of nothing — and handle the logistics so the full days flow. Send us your dates and we'll shape the itinerary around your group.
